Thank you, Aleksa!
Guard Aleksa Avramovic is leaving our team due to a transfer to another club...
One of the leaders of the Serbian National Team, the Best Defender of the recent Olympics, joined the ranks of CSKA a year ago, signing a two-year contract. Last season, Avramovic became one of the key players of our team, mainly coming off the bench. His averages in 56 games are 12.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals in 20.0 minutes. With Aleksa's help, the red-blues won both VTB League trophies - the SuperCup, in which Avramovic was named MVP, and the Belov Cup.
Andrey Vatutin, PBC CSKA President:
Even though Avramovic spent only a season with CSKA, he will forever remain in the history of our club and in the hearts of the fans. Aleksa is a spectacular player and an equally bright personality, a real spark within the team, a talented basketball player and a wonderful person. He was very enthusiastic about playing for CSKA, showed love and respect for the club, Moscow and Russia. So, of course, it is a little sad to say goodbye. On the other hand, we are happy for Aleksa, who will return to playing at the highest club level in Europe. We thank him for everything he has done for us and wish him good luck in his new place.
Andreas Pistiolis, CSKA head coach:
Aleksa was an integral part of our team and our success. He joined us during a difficult period and played a key role in achieving our goals. I am grateful for his contribution and wish him all the best in the new chapter of his life.
Aleksa Avramovic:
It was a great honor and joy for me to represent CSKA and win all possible titles with the team. I am sincerely grateful to all my teammates, Andreas Pistiolis and all the coaches, Andrey Vatutin, Natalia Furaeva, the medical staff, our media director, all the club employees. Each of them showed me kindness and hospitality, helped in everything. I wish CSKA to continue on the winning path, I will root for the team. I hope the club will soon return to the Euroleague! Lets go, family!
