At the end of the contract, forward Andrey Lopatin leaves our club...

Thank you, Andrey!

The pupil of the Moscow Trinta Sports School has been playing in the CSKA system for the past eight years, including four on the main team. In 2019, Lopatin, together with the red-and-blue, became the Euroleague champion, his collection also features two gold medals of the VTB United League and the Russian Championship.

Andrey played 71 games for the main team of CSKA, including six in the Euroleague, averaging 2.6 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7.3 minutes.

Andrey Vatutin, PBC CSKA President:

Andrey now needs a change of scenery. For so many years playing together with Nikita Kurbanov and Will Clyburn, it was difficult for him to really prove himself, to become established player in the rotation; at the same time Lopatin, under the supervision of experienced teammates, progressed noticeably, grew as a basketball player and as a person. I know that his ambitions are not limited to the role of a bench player, therefore we will follow Andrey's professional growth with interest. I sincerely wish good luck to one of the brightest pupils of our club and I hope that we will soon see Lopatin again in red-and-blue colors.

Andrey Lopatin:

Thank you to the club for the studies and support throughout my journey with CSKA, from the Junior Basketball League to the main team. Together we went through a lot, I got a very valuable experience and a unique opportunity to become involved in great victories. Thanks to everyone we met along the way. And I am very grateful to the fans who supported me and our entire team.
