Самсон Руженцев – первый новобранец этого лета

Ruzhentsev was born in Moscow, started playing in 56th and Timiryazevskaya sports schools, he also worked out with CSKA-JBL and left for the USA at the age of 14. Since then, the basketball development of the young player has taken place abroad. In America, Samson graduated from the Hamilton Heights High School, went to the University of Florida, where he played one season in the NCAA. After his freshman year, the basketball player decided to continue his career in professional basketball by signing a contract with Mega from Serbia. In the 2021-22 season, Ruzhentsev played 21 games in the Adriatic League, averaging 6.8 points on 50% three-pointers, 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 14.8 minutes, as well as 9 games in the Serbian League with averages of 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists in 28.9 minutes.

Ruzhentsev is one of the most interesting young players in our country, technically and physically gifted, but, at the same time, our fans have practically never seen him in action. He already has experience of playing pro basketball, he played abroad for a long time, he was called up to the Russian National Team. We are glad to see Samson in the colors of CSKA again, we have high hopes for him, we wish him health and self-confidence.
