PBC CSKA President Sergey Kushchenko and heads of NBA have agreed about a new format of cooperation. Negotiations took place in New York. PBC CSKA President Sergey Kushchenko and heads of NBA have agreed about a new format of cooperation. Negotiations took place in New York. From the American side Peter Fornsvort, vice-president participated in them on carrying out of actions Peter Fink and vice-president under international relations Kim Bohuni, the president on global marketing partnership and international business-operations Haidy Uberos, the senior vice-president on business-development.
« As a whole the meeting had a very positive character, – noted Sergey Kushchenko who has arrived to the USA under the special invitation. - representatives of NBA have accepted our main condition – cooperation on the equal partner rights. The purpose of our cooperation is certain by both parties(sides) as promotion of basketball in the world.
It is difficult to argue that in the USA on the first place American, and in the Europe – our European football. But these kinds of sports have reached(achieved) already practically peak in the development. Basketball of space still has enough for growth.
Both sides have understood, that carrying out of tournaments in format NBA Live are single, dot actions, early actions. They, certainly, will remain in the competence of Euroleague and NBA. But we have come to conclusion, that cooperation should be global and long-term, cover not only matches on basketball, and all possible spheres – processes of an exchange by experience, techniques, players, business.
In the new project which we, I hope, we shall start in the near future, work with sponsors will be carried out in common, as well as distribution of incomes to the conditions, satisfying both side.
On the basis of our partnership from NBA it is possible to generate model which subsequently will be demanded in the Europe ».
