Alexander Chadov moved to CSKA
Forward Alexander Chadov (23 years old, 204 cm) signed a three-year contract with our club...
A native of Izhevsk began playing basketball at the SDYUSSHOR No. 7 in Nizhny Novgorod and it was in the city at the confluence of the Volga and Oka that he spent his entire career, gradually climbing the ladder of different ages and leagues.
It is interesting that Chadov has already had to wear the red and blue colors - he was invited to CSKA-Junior to participate in the qualifiers of the EuroLeague Youth Tournament in February 2019, and Alexander's debut in the VTB United League happened in a meeting with CSKA on November 25 of the same year. The young forward in Nizhny had the opportunity to play alongside Anton Astapkovich, Alexander Gankevich and Vladimir Karpenko.
Chadov's role and stats at Pari NN have steadily grown year after year. Last season, he averaged 9.0 points (55.5% of two-pointers, 35.6% of three-pointers), 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.6 steals in 23.6 minutes in 48 games, starting 37 of them. His resume includes winning the Russian Cup in 2023, reaching the Russian Cup final a year later and playing for the National Team.
Andreas Pistiolis, CSKA head coach:
I’d like to welcome Alexander to CSKA. He has a bright future ahead, one that will demand hard work but is full of great potential. He now has the chance to be part of the next generation of CSKA players, and I have full faith that he has what it takes to make it.
Alexander Chadov, CSKA forward:
Everyone wants to play for CSKA, and I am very happy to be here, this is a big step forward for me. I will try to take advantage of this chance, I already know well many of the guys on the team, I will have to get to know some of them. I will do my best to win and I am looking forward to the start of the season!
