CSKA won streetball contest

CSKA won the VIP tournament at the 2008 Moscow Streetball Challenge. The trophy received by the club was immediately named ‘the very last prize of the 2007/08 season’.

PBC CSKA team included 6 players. They were two CSKA legends Igor Kurashov and Igor Kudelin, CSKA junior team head coach Andrei Maltsev, CSKA team manager Andrei Schepankov and CSKA coach Evgeny Pashutin.
CSKA played three games in the group versus Sports Channel, Profi-Sport and Slamdunk.ru teams. The most difficult one was against Profi-Sport. The winner was determined in the OT. In the Final Four of the contest CSKA won the games versus Planet Basketball and Sports Channel.
The trophy to the team was presented by Russian basketball federation President Sergei Chernov. He mentioned that the four letters CSKA became the synonym of the word ‘win’. CSKA CEO Andrei Vatutin added that only from this moment on the 2007/08 season is over for CSKA.
The teams and the audience of the contest had a chance to make pictures with the 2008 Euroleague champion Cup.
