Forward Jonas Jerebko leaves our club upon expiration of his contract...
For Jerebko, the move to CSKA was an opportunity to resume his professional career, as the Swedish basketball player has remained out of the game since leaving Khimki in January 2021. Nevertheless, the experienced player quickly got into shape and became a key substitute for the Muscovites, joining the main rotation of the “bigs”. Jonas played 16 games in red-and-blue uniform (5 starts) averaging 5.6 points and 3.0 rebounds.
Andrey Vatutin, PBC CSKA President:
The transition to CSKA turned out to be difficult for Jonas in many ways, but he did not show a shadow of doubt or a word of regret. As an experienced player who played at the highest level, he unquestioningly accepted his role, which included a lot of physical work, study and psychological stress. At the end of the season, Jonas helped the team a lot, adding quality on the court and positive mood in the locker room. We hope he will continue his career and replenish his resume with new big victories.
