Greek specialist Stefanos Dedas will assist Dimitris Itoudis until the end of the season...

Stefanos Dedas joined CSKA coaching staff

Dedas spent this season as the head coach of the AEK Athens, which currently ranks sixth in the Greek League with 8 wins in 17 games.

Stefanos began his coaching career at the age of 19 as an assistant at PAOK Thessaloniki, after that he worked in Greece, Turkey and Israel. His resume also includes two years in Russia - from 2011 to 2013, Dedas was an assistant to Jure Zdovc in Spartak St. Petersburg. Also, the Red-Blue’s newcomer was part of the Slovenian National Team staff at several top tournaments. Last year Stefanos won the Balkan League with Hapoel Holon and was named Israeli Coach of the Year.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:

Stefanos Dedas has big experience of working as a head coach or a first assistant coach. He was a head coach in AEK, Hapoel, in Turkish teams, worked with Jure Zdovc with Slovenian National Team and in Russia together with Anton Yudin. Most importantly, he is thrilled and motivated to come and help the team in this transitional period. I am really happy that a person that has a lot of experience and also has a lot in his tank want to come and help make us developments and adjustments. The fact that Stefanos worked with some members of our staff, as I said, will make the transition easier and smoother. We expect him to join our group soon and start working with us, so welcome!

Stefanos Dedas, CSKA assistant coach:

I am thrilled to be part of the legendary club of CSKA Moscow. It’s a big honor and I am very excited to give all my heart and effort for the best coach in Europe Mr.Dimitris Itoudis and all the organization of CSKA!
