Dusan Ivkovic: It was very tough game, very difficult for my team who fight all 40 minutes. This night we played one non-balanced game for the reason that Skipper used the zone defense for 37 minutes at least when we adapted to it.

This night we played one non-balanced game for the reason that Skipper used the zone defense for 37 minutes at least when we adapted to it. We scored only two points and Skipper scored 10 points in the end of the game. Last 3 minutes CSKA played non-balanced game. Selection was not good. Balance of the front and back lines were not good. Now we need to teach something from this game and continue our work. Our targets are the same. Our group in Euroleague is very tough. The desire of Skipper players was higher today and they were the better team today.

It was the great game from two sides, very interesting for fans. Sometimes luck with you, sometimes not. We haven’t been lucky against Maccabi. We lost on last seconds, on the last moment. Tonight we won similar. We came here with a lot of problems. We lost two games in row against Maccabi and Scavolini in Italian league. We have many injured players this moment: Basile, Van Den Spiegel who didn’t play against Scavolini. Vujanic has problems with growing. You saw that I used him only five minutes. But I’m very happy that my team believed that we could win this game. Against the best team this moment in Europe, with the best coach and with the best organization.
Reason why we opened the game with the zone defense is a lot of problems that we have. Physically with the roster we have this moment we cannot answer CSKA who is the most physically team in Europe now. It is very important victory for us after two big losses in row for getting the confidence. We expect many tough game and we have more confidence then before.
I would like to congratulate CSKA with what I saw today. I was very impressed with the organization and everything I saw today. I with them all the best in the future.
