Gafurov is a product of the Youth Project of our club, for whose teams he played for four years. Last season, Philip played for CSKA-2 in the Superleague (10.6 points, 5.7 rebounds), and made his debut in the VTB United League by seeing action in four games (3.8 points, 1.8 rebounds).
Last summer, a talented young basketball player signed a new 4-year contract with CSKA and was loaned to BC Samara. Gafurov played in 18 games for the Volga team, averaging 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds in 14.7 minutes on the court.
