Khimki decided to play in the second game of 1/8 of Cup of Russia by the main squad. Leaders of the team Vasily Karasev, Igor Zamansky and Mikhail Soloviev returned to the roster. Only injured Alexander Petrenko was absent.

Khimki decided to play in the second game of 1/8 of Cup of Russia by the main squad. Leaders of the team Vasily Karasev, Igor Zamansky and Mikhail Soloviev returned to the roster. Only injured Alexander Petrenko was absent.

Hosts became leaders in the beginning of the game and did not lose advantage to the final buzzer. Their advantage was 6 points already to the end of the third minute: 8-2. The defense of Sergey Elevich team was too strong for CSKA. Neither time-outs, neither substitutions could help our team. Only in the end of the quarter they could decrease advantage of hosts to «+5»: from 18-8 to18-13. But later Eugeniy Pashutin team could steal initiative only in the third quarter. The won spurt by 8-0, and could win the quarter. After 3-pointer of Nikita Kurbanov Khimki was leading 62-51. But after that Soloviev and Krasnikov returned big advantage to their team: «+20». One of the reason of it were 5 fouls of the most result in our team: Kurbanov and Fomin (13 and 11 points).

When Eugeniy Kolesnikov and Nikita Shabalkin went to the bench because of 5 fouls too, it became clearly that it is no fight in the last quarter. To 1,5 to the end of the game Khimki scored 100th point: 100-76. Vladimir Demin has set the finish result of the game. He made the throw from the middle of arena, and it reached the basket with the final buzzer: 107-82.
