PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN
The gym will be packed for the game against CSKA in Perm again. For the first time in the history of Parma, two days before the starting whistle, there were no tickets on sale.
The Muscovites left home unusually early: the bus took the team to the airport from CSKA Track-and-Field Arena at 6:15 am. At 19:00 local time, the red-blues were already practicing at Molot.
This time, the coaching staff took exactly a dozen players on the road. Semen Antonov, who is recovering from surgery on Achilles tendon, and Vladimir Karpenko, who was transferred to strengthen CSKA-2 in the Russian Cup game, remained in Moscow.
WORD TO THE COACH
Emil Rajkovic, CSKA head coach:
Parma is playing good this year, they’ve won 4 games already. They have an experienced coach, Evgeny Pashutin knows how to prepare the team. So we need to stay focused for all 40 minutes to get the win.
