PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN
After tough battle with Zenit, the Red-Blues got a day off, and practiced at Megasport on Wednesday. Will Clyburn who is recovering after injury participated in the contact exercises.
The exodus of legionnaires from Russian clubs hit Perm hard – they lost all foreign players and head coach Kazys Maksvytis.
WORD TO THE COACH
Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We were trying to have as many games as possible this days because we had hopes of continuing the EuroLeague season after March 21, the decision of EuroLeague. We were trying to keep our shape on the highest level but the other teams in VTB League cannot match this, so we are going to have big gap after the Parma game. We had good comeback in a tough game against Zenit, it was a good game to watch for the fans. Parma is our next opponent with renewed roster, they have good Russian players that play aggressive basketball. Their physiognomy has changed a lot because their bigs Likhodey and Zabelin can shoot the ball, they are pick-n-pop players, so it's a different task in front of us.
