The next Euroleague meeting is another classic confrontation. Megasport will host two of the three most titled clubs on the continent - CSKA and Panathinaikos...
The most important is how you play lately

PREGAME BREAKDOWN

Last season, the teams met in Moscow in the last game of the regular season, which was the last international game at USH CSKA. The meeting had no value for the standings, but the Army Team fought and won a tough victory.

For the first time this season - due to the busyness of the arena at Megasport - the red-and-blues held pre-game practice in Krylatskoye, in the main gym of the Basket Hall.

The coaches had at their disposal the players of the National Teams, who returned to Moscow on November 29-30.

REFEREES

Miguel-Angel Perez (crew chief, Spain), Milivoje Jovcic (Serbia), Milan Nedovic (Slovenia).

PREGAME QUOTES

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:

The most important thing is how Panathinaikos plays lately. They've changed their phylosophy, previously they were attacked a lot down on the block, they had problems defensively, so now they use zones and matchups more, 2-3, 3-2, with a big body in the middle, they are following, switching... Nedovic is back, he has good rhythm in scoring and creating, he performs well. Considering the fact that they have Perry and Macon as ball-handlers, Sant-Roos helping them, big guy Papagiannis is doing great job with White and Evans coming off the bench. This is a team that hustles and fights. The standings in Euroleague are a kind of distraction when you look at them early in the competition. You may be couple of wins to playoffs and couple - from 16-17th place. This shows how competion is tight in many aspects.

Semen Antonov, CSKA forward:

In the Euroleague, everyone is a threat, at home or away. There are many good teams, great players, great coaches here. We respect the opponent, but we are not afraid of him. The team practiced well, we joined it yesterday right after the National Team. We had several practices, we understood what schemes we will use in this game. I invite all fans to come to Megasport and support us.

“RELATIVITY” CONNECTIONS

CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis spent 13 seasons as an assistant coach at Panathinaikos, from 1999 through 2012.
