The EuroLeague double-week continues for our team in Vitoria...
From Barca to Basks

PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN

The Army Team acted according to the usual scenario the double-trip. The team spent the night in the hotel after the game in Barcelona, and went to the Basque Country in the afternoon. In the evening the Muscovites held a practice session at the Fernando Buesa Arena, working on the shooting and tactics.

Joel Bolomboy, who recovered from food poisoning, also took part in the session. Currently there are 14 players at the disposal of the coaching staff, and the decision on the roster will be made on the day of the game.

Last week, the Baskonia management dismissed the local legend Dusko Ivanovic. Another well-known Balkan specialist, Neven Spahija, took over as head coach. This season, ex-Army Man Alec Peters has never played for the team from Vitoria due to a knee injury.

REFEREES

Ilija Belosevic (Serbia, crew chief), Sreten Radovic (Croatia), Sergio Silva (Portugal).

PRE-GAME QUOTES

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:

Another difficult road game. Baskonia has some changes lately, they played great game against Zvezda over here. They also had an extra day to prepare for the game which evidently and undoubtfully gives them more of a rest and a day to practice. We are carrying with us the positive reaction the team had in Barcelona in the third quarter, so we are bringing it here with determination to give another fight.

Tornike Shengelia, CSKA forward:

It's very important game for us. Double-week, both games away, we lost the first one so we gotta do everything to win the next one. One thing we know, not only me, but the whole CSKA, that it's not easy to play here, they gonna fight until the end. So we have to come out and hustle for every ball and play physical.
