‘You should remember the formula or the answer on the question or whatever even if you would be wakened up late at night’. For sure everyone heard the phrase from the teachers at school or in the institute. Now it was CSKA turn to show what the team can do in case of staying up all night and being awakened up early in the morning.

For sure everyone heard the phrase from the teachers at school or in the institute. Now it was CSKA turn to show what the team can do in case of staying up all night and being awakened up early in the morning.

Spartak-Primorje – ЦСКА: 53-87

Actually the team did not look tired at the warm up. From the very start of the game it tried to focus on the defense. This helped a lot because Spartak tried to start the game in a very aggressive way. By the middle of the second quarter the rival team has already archieved 18 personal fouls. As for the leadership – CSKA was ahead by 6 points in the middle of the 1st quarter – 18-11, but then the team spent 2 minutes without a single shot made and Spartak almost evened the score – 18-16. But later the Army club had an opportunity to make some fast breaks, made more rebounds and started to play faster and build the gap of 15 points before the end of the half.

Spartak lost all the aggressiveness in the second half. But CSKA stayed focused on the game and that was the reason why at the beginning of the last quarter the gap grew up to 30 points. Ettore Messina let step on the court all the players on the roster. Excluding Vladimir Dyachok and David Vanterpool who stayed in Moscow.
