Our club’s second team won silver medals in the Russian championship for young men after losing to the Final Four host Lokomotiv-Kuban-2 in the deciding game.
“Unfortunately, we weren’t able to win, - CSKA-2 head coach Andrey Maltsev said. The pressure of final game against hosts was too big for us in the first half. We had a good talk during the break, tried to convince our players that they are not weaker than the opponent. And they showed character, made a run and got to minus 4 with one minute to go. But in the end we had not enough luck to succeed. Our congratulations to Krasnodar with well-deserved victory.”
