Junior team is back!
CSKA junior team is back from Serbia. The team worked at Aleksandar Nikolic camp in Zlatibor under the guidance of Leonid Spirin for 10 days and then played several friendly games.

There were 15 players on the roster. They are Mikhail Lyapah, Maxim Zakharov, Semen Shashkov, Anton Brindukov, Maxim Pavlov, Lavrenty Klimov, Maxim Abyzov, Egor Shakmetov, Pavel Ivanov, Mikhail Borshchevskiy, Alexei Neskubin, Maxim Kaplunov, Fedor Sorokin, Sergey Palkin.

- For ten days in Zlatibor our players had a chance to learn and to improve several basketball techniques, - says PBC CSKA junior team coach Leonid Spirin. – We had three practices daily. There were three other teams in the camp: from Israel, Montenegro and Sergey Panov’s basketball school Panterra. We played two games there against the camp all stars and against the team from Podgorica (Montenegro). The first one we won – 81-65, the second we lost in the extra period – 83-88.

After the camp we went to Cacak and played twice against Mladost. We lost both of the games -56-66 and 74-85 – but the reason for that was the fact that the rival had several players older. The goal of the games in general was to give a chance to play for everyone and to control how the new players adopt our philosophy and the knowledge they received in the camp. I am really pleased with the way Ivanov and Strebkov played. The last friendly game we played was against Zekas in the city of Raca near Kraguevac. We won 97-82.

The trip to Serbia in general was very helpful. Now we can determine the roster for the upcoming preparations for the 2006/07 season.
