Our team went to Perm to play the VTB United League game.

Pre-game breakdown

Our team had to use the practice gym in USH CSKA for preparations because of Basketball Day festivities on the main arena.

Unfortunately, long-awaited Mikhail Kulagin’s return is delayed. He broke the finger on his left hand during the practice before the game vs Zalgiris and forced to get back to individual trainings.

Will Clyburn (knee surgery), Ron Baker (not on the VTB League roster) and Alexander Khomenko (plays for CSKA-2 at Novosibirsk) did not fly to Perm as well.

The team tried for the first time the fresh-painted CSKA-themed Airbus by Aeroflot, named after prominent nuclear physics scientist Igor Kurchatov.

Word to the coach

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We expect a tough game. Parma is looking really good this season, they played many good games, they beat EuroLeague participant Zenit in away game recently. We also had difficult game against them at home. They play tough, they have good mix of youth and experience. So we are very serious about upcoming game.
