Our team hosts the defending champion Anadolu Efes...
Without head coaches

PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN

A unique situation happened: both teams found themselves without head coaches the day before the game. Both Dimitris Itoudis and Ergin Ataman fell ill, so the duties of leading the teams are transferred to the first assistants. CSKA will be led by Andreas Pistiolis, Efes will be coached by Jakup Sekizkok.

CSKA managed to hold two full practices. On Monday, the team trained in Krylatskoye, on Tuesday - on the Megasport parquet.

REFEREES

Robert Lottermoser (crew chief, Germany), Fernando Rocha (Portugal), Emilio Perez Pisarro (Spain).

PRE-GAME QUOTES

Andreas Pistiolis, CSKA coach:

Efes is a great team, they are reigning champs. We are happy to play against them, it's going to be an exciting game. They know us very well and we know them because they are the same team, we played against each other for many years. Whoever chooses to come to the gym to watch the game will watch some beautiful basketball and enjoy it.

Iffe Lundberg, CSKA guard:

It's gonna be a hard-fought game for sure, two of the toughest teams in Europe battling it out. Hopefully we will execute coaches' game plan to perfection (or close to) because they are very dangerous, especially on the offensive end. Their two main guards are two of the best players in this league, we gotta be ready for that.
